Counselling in London N1 (Islington )
What is prompting you to consider seeing a therapist now? Maybe an event or crisis has brought things to a head, and you are finding hard to cope. You may feel anxiety, lonely, stressed, have relationship or family problems, be confused about your identity or sexuality, have suffered bereavement or loss, or are finding that past events are intruding on the present. Sometimes the sense of unhappiness feels more general, or a lack of direction has been going on for some time.
Whatever has brought you to this page, you will be hoping that things could feel better, and wondering if talking to a therapist might help. The good news is it that therapy can help to make lasting change.
How therapy can help
Having the support of regular sessions can help you to understand yourself better, and feel more comfortable in your life and relationships. It can also enable you to draw upon your own resources to find a way through, however challenging things may be. Difficult feelings and situations may become more tolerable, and a sense of well-being may become more readily accessible.
I am an experienced integrative counsellor and supervisor, and am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I welcome everyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexuality, faith or cultural background. Depending on what brings you to counselling, and what you may hope to gain from the sessions, I may offer to work with you on a short or longer term basis, usually in weekly 50 minute sessions.
